Inspiration is all around us. I am thankful for the wonderful people in my life that continue to inspire me. This project is inspired by two people, my sister-in-law and a good friend. My sister-in-law created a great fall centerpiece she saw on Pinterest using corn and beans. My friend had a great idea to write what she is thankful for about her four year old son to help reward positive behavior. I took both of these ideas and combined them into our thankful centerpiece. Every night as a family we are discussing what we are thankful for and writing it on a leaf. By the time Thanksgiving comes we should have a beautiful full centerpiece for the table.
Filling for the Vase (We used corn, dried peas, kidney beans and navy beans)
Paper Leaves (We found ours at the Dollar Store)
Empty Paper Towel Roll
Place paper towel roll inside the vase. You may need to trim the roll to fit your vase. Fill around the paper towel roll with corn and dried beans. To keep the beans from filling inside the paper towel roll place a plastic lid over it (see picture below). Repeat layers until close to the top of the vase.
