Here is an easy craft for kids. This is an art activity that even your youngest artist can enjoy. M-Woww (2 yrs) and Lil B (4 yrs) both enjoyed this project. I love it because it also uses one of my favorite mediums to work with, tissue paper! This project is a great way to recycle or reuse tissue paper that may be leftover from birthday gifts.
Materials:
- Contact Paper
- Tape
- Tissue Paper
- Scissors
Tutorial:
Step 1: Tape a piece of contact paper sticky side up to your table or work surface.
Step 2: Have your little artist cut different sizes of colored paper. We used red, orange, yellow, green, and blue tissue paper (all recycled from gifts).
Step 3: Stick the cut pieces of colored paper on the contact paper. You may let your artist lead the project and let them place the colored tissue paper wherever they want. We happened to be talking about rainbows so both of my artists wanted to arrange their artwork in rainbow order.
Tip: To give the project a finished look we put the rainbow collage in a frame.
